The technique of aluminum sheets include hot rolled and cold rolled. There are some difference as follows.
1. Production Process: Casting and rolling are processed by casting and rolling machines into casting rolls (8mm thickness). And we adopt cold rolling machines to process the sheets. The hot rolling is heated by aluminum ingots (400-500mm thickness), and hot rolling at high temperatures.
2. Raw Materials: Hot rolled billets are cast aluminum ingots—heated—rolled into coils for cold rolling, and cast-rolled billets are cast-rolled coils-cast-rolled.
3. Performance: Hot rolled aluminum sheet has good surface quality, strong mechanical properties and ductility, and good oxidation effect.
4. Uses: Cast-rolled aluminum sheets are suitable for making molds, and hot-rolled aluminum sheets are suitable for stamping and stretching.
5. Price: Cold rolled aluminum sheet has simple process, and the price is cheaper than hot-rolled aluminum sheet.
6. Finished Products: Generally, the elongation of cast-rolled products is lower than that of hot-rolled products.
